Issue

Boasting a 24/7 call out service, and a team of specialists equipped to open and make keys to suit almost any lock, A1 Locksmiths are an industry force to be reckoned with. As competition in the market increased and encroached on their foothold, Ray and Leslie realised they would need a robust marketing strategy to stay top of mind online. They turned to Bonfire to seize the opportunity to increase their Google search rankings, with the hopes of driving more people to their website and in turn more enquiries.

Methodology

From the start, Ray and Leslie’s core objectives were to increase brand awareness and enquiries online. Our team identified the best method to address these concerns would be a combination of Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) and Google Ads. After conducting a website audit, we discovered several issues that meant it wasn’t compliant with both website design and SEO best practice. As a result, a significant portion of A1 Locksmiths’ target demographic – people in emergency situations such as being locked out of their home or losing their car keys – were not being engaged and as a result, they were missing out on new business. After experiencing success with their search marketing campaigns, Ray and Leslie agreed a new website could boost their existing results and yield further return on investment for their business.

As of January 2019, half of their keywords appear in the first three positions on Page 1 of Google; 79% of website traffic is from first-time visitors, and conversions have increased 101% year on year.
