Issue

Aussie Natural approached Bonfire in late 2020, wanting to increase its home and office water delivery sales by reaching new customers in a saturated market. Their organic and paid presence for branded terms was performing well but was inefficient at engaging new customers who weren’t aware of or searching for the brand by name online.  

Methodology

Bonfire conducted keyword research to identify the terms users searched for when looking for home and office water delivery. By understanding what these users were searching for, Bonfire was able to uncover new cohorts of potential customers and target them organically through an on-page SEO strategy. Page content was optimised to include these newly determined intent-search keywords, which would make the brand’s home and office water delivery product more discoverable to new customers as they searched for popular terms like “water coolers”.

To support this, Bonfire developed a series of paid ad campaigns across Google and Facebook that focused less on brand and more on product-related, attention-grabbing headlines that included USPs like “free delivery” and “from prices”. Ensuring the ads only captured those located in areas serviced by the business, Bonfire established precise geotargeting to the Perth Metro area.

Since partnering with Bonfire, Aussie Natural has seen incredible growth, reporting a 46% increase YoY in sales. The company’s visibility on Google improved, seeing 35 keywords in the first three positions and 70 keywords ranking on page one. Leading to a 27.7% increase in organic sales YoY and enabled Aussie Natural to reach new customers – attributing 80% of website traffic to new sessions.  

Bonfire’s impressive Google Ad campaigns achieved a 110% increase in conversions YoY, a 54% decrease in Cost per Conversion (CPC) YoY and Click-Through Rate (CTR) increased 13% YoY.
