Di Candilo Steel City had built a successful business but their digital presence did not match. This contested the longevity of their position as an industry leader, as competitor companies were being found first on Google. This emphasised the need to increase their brand exposure in the engineering market, as well as penetrate un-tapped markets, to achieve their business goal of increasing their customer base by 30% in 12 months.
To begin, Bonfire’s search specialists audited the Di Candilo Steel City website to identify the barriers preventing their digital growth. This research uncovered several technical SEO issues including slow site speed and poorly scored mobile and desktop versions of the website. These problems were the root cause of the website’s poor visibility on Google and were rectified by building a new website. The development of the new website included a content audit, content optimisation, competitor backlink analysis and a brand outreach strategy. Call tracking was also implemented to provide further insights into how users were engaging with the new website.
By partnering with Bonfire, Di Candilo Steel City has achieved outstanding campaign results. The number of organic goal completions has grown by 70.2%. In addition, their brand visibility has improved significantly with 81.7% of all website traffic attributed to organic search. Since call tracking was implemented, they have tracked over 1300 phone calls that originated from organic search and over 156% of phone calls from Google Maps.
