As international and interstate travel remains off-limits, Australia’s Coral Coast has partnered with Bonfire to develop a paid search strategy to encourage the WA community to get out and explore their own backyard.

Australia’s Coral Coast is responsible for promoting the WA’s coastal region, from Cervantes to Exmouth and inland to Wildflower Country, as a premier holiday destination. The region is renowned for national icons the Pinnacles, Shark Bay and Ningaloo World Heritage-listed areas, and several biodiverse wildflower hotspots.

Bonfire’s Senior Digital Advisor Alex Gavalas said he hopes the campaign will motivate West Australians to visit the beautiful region. “It’s been a challenging few months for the tourism industry, but with regional restrictions lifted, now is the time to explore the state’s stunning coastal region”.

Australia’s Coral Coast CEO David O Malley said the agency was selected for their specialist skillset and impressive track record working with brands in aggressive markets.

“As a small member-based organisation, our focus has primarily been on digital marketing. Working with Bonfire will fine-tune our approach and aim to improve conversion results for our members, who are affected by the COVID19 environment.”

Bonfire’s CEO Clay Cook added that the agency was excited for the opportunity to help Australia’s Coral Coast grow their business in a tough market.  “The tourism industry has been heavily impacted by the coronavirus pandemic, and our team are excited to demonstrate the benefits of digital marketing to help Australia’s Coral Coast bounce back.”
