The Bin Guys engaged Bonfire’s services in 2014 for the agency’s expertise in SEO. Following the success of their organic campaign, they turned to Bonfire for help to improve other aspects of their digital marketing strategy in 2018. Their website was outdated and suffered from several technical issues, which resulted in low traffic and poor rankings on Google. This prevented potential customers from finding them and booking their services online.
To increase the Bin Guys brand awareness and enquiries online, Bonfire’s search marketing experts overhauled their organic and paid search strategy. A new mobile-friendly website was built to address its design and performance issues on Google. This involved the Bonfire team executing SEO best practice, including extensive content optimisations and rebuilding a strong backlink profile, as well as geo-targeting to attract Perth customers. To complement their new website, a Google Ads strategy was executed to capitalise on local areas which attracted the most website traffic. This involved the creation of two campaigns which focused on non-branded and branded keywords to not only promote the client’s brand to customers but protect it from competitors. The ad groups also targeted 200 suburbs with a mix of product and service focused copy, emphasising the Bin Guys’ service quality and availability city-wide.
Since engaging Bonfire’s digital marketing services, The Bin Guys’ have successfully grown their brand profile on Google and increased the number of bookings made on their website. The seo campaign has significantly improved their website performance, with mobile devices accounting for 46% of total website traffic. Between May and October 2019, the Google Ads campaign also generated a 23% increase in sales and the organic campaign produced a 24% increase in sales. Together, these results have helped the Bin Guys’ to accomplish their online goals and assert themselves as one of WA’s leading waste removal companies.
