AI Search recommends whoever explains the problem best.
The Work
Perth businesses ask AI platforms questions like “a cyber security audit provider in Western Australia for mid-sized businesses.” We built a prompt set from questions like it, covering everything FLUX IT does: managed IT and infrastructure, cloud and procurement, threat detection and incident response. Running the set across ChatGPT, Google AI Mode and Gemini showed which companies each answer named. That became the brief for the website, in place of a keyword list.
Four rounds in, we set the architecture for the core service pages — what each one had to answer, in the words buyers used to ask it — and FLUX IT’s team wrote and published them. Every page opened by naming the problem before it named the service, whether that problem was ransomware reaching the operational systems on a mine site or an Essential Eight obligation attached to a government contract.

The Results
By July 2026, FLUX IT was being named in AI answers alongside the national firms it competes with, in the categories where it does its most technical work.
- 7x the AI search visibility it started with (from 1.8% to 13.7%)
- 3x the share of answers in cyber security, compliance and risk (10.2% to 29.7%), with four more categories opening from zero — threat detection and incident response the strongest at 23.7%
- 62 appearances on “Perth cyber security company for identifying unpatched software and exposed systems”, FLUX IT named first of the nine brands cited
- 79.6% positive sentiment across ChatGPT, Google AI Mode and Gemini, with fluxit.com.au cited as the source for Essential Eight, ISO 27001 and PCI DSS

The Next Chapter
FLUX IT already works across mining operations, government entities, healthcare practices and multi-site franchises, and each asks a different question of an IT partner: a drilling contractor’s uptime problem looks nothing like a medical practice’s compliance one. Through the rest of 2026 that range gets written down — an industries hub with a page per sector, a partners hub organised by vendor category rather than brand — while the link building and review work those fourteen service pages are waiting on continues underneath.
Bonfire helped us communicate the value of our cybersecurity and compliance expertise more clearly. The project aligned our website content with the questions organisations are asking today, making it easier for potential clients to find practical guidance from the FLUX IT team. The results show that strong marketing works best when it is built around genuine technical knowledge and a clear understanding of client risk.
