Jewellery and diamonds are categorised within a highly competitive market, particularly in the search space, with lots of local and national jewellers competing on page 1 of Google. Solid Gold Diamonds wanted a digital strategy that would not only increase their visibility online, but also drive more customers to their site in a cost-effective way.
Methodology
After auditing Solid Gold Diamonds existing Google Ads account, our search experts identified several high-cost and low-converting ad groups and keywords. To reduce the cost of paid search and increase the volume of high-quality website traffic, the client’s entire ad account was restructured to focus on their core products such as engagement rings and diamonds. A comprehensive organic strategy was also executed, including content optimisation and the creation of a high-quality backlink profile, to increase their keyword rankings.
Results
Working together with Bonfire, Solid Gold Diamonds were able to achieve incredible results online. The SEO campaign increased the number of keywords ranking on page 1 of Google by 42.5% year on year, grew new users by 23.69% year on year and significantly increased organic enquiries by 61% year on year. Combined with a strong Google Ad strategy, Bonfire were able to reduce total ad spend by 32.13% year on year, and more than tripled the click-through-rate on ads by an impressive 366%. They also saw a 189% year on year increase in online enquiries from paid traffic.
